Yesterday after work I spent the rest of the afternoon hanging out with Kendra. We went to a couple stores so that she could pick up a few things needed for the wedding; then we went back to her apartment. She has “Friends: Season 9” so we watched a couple episodes (TOW Monica Sings, TOW the Blind Dates, and TOW the Boob Job). Gotta love that show! 😀
We were feeling lazy and so to get ourselves out of that frame of mind we decided to go out for supper…Chinese, which I haven’t had in awhile. After we ate we stopped off at my house so I could program my VCR to tape the showing of 2005 World Figure Skating Championships, and grab a couple DVDs to watch at her house later. They happened to be “Uptown Girls” and “The Prince & Me”, two very cute movies. 🙂 I was dead tired when I came home; I was in bed by 11:30 p.m.
I don’t have to go back into work until Saturday, so I have a few days off. That means I will be home to tape more skating. haha
Today I renewed my license…I now am back to my G1. Cost me $85 though, rather than the $60 a friend said it would cost. At least I passed. lol Right after that I went across the street to good old Chapters and browsed. Found the new Spotlight on Skating magazine with Joannie Rochette on the cover! Woohoo! Go Jo! Very good issue, picture-wise; haven’t read it yet.
Now I’m home and just found out that Shen & Zhao withdrew from Worlds. 🙁 Well, I understand Hongbo Zhao has an injury, so it’s for the best. I’m very nervous for the Ice Dance ODs and Men LPs tomorrow! Eek!
Not up to much lately; just working. Went over to Kendra’s on…Saturday, was it? I brought over a bunch of DVDs and we ended up watching “Mulan” and “Van Helsing”. I still haven’t watched my “Mulan II” DVD yet and how long ago did I buy it? lol Monday was Harry Potter Night at Kendra’s. We watched “Chamber of Secrets” and “Prisoner of Azkaban”. Marcel was over, too, and I don’t think he was too impressed with the movie choice. 😛
‘Tis all. Since I just made a new layout for Music-is-Magic of Oscar-calibre actress Kate Winslet (she was so robbed), I shall go put that up now!
My hours at work have been cut, like everyone else’s, and so I have three days off in a row. What to do, what to do? Not like I can go out, because I don’t have any extra money. I will just be able to afford my OSAP payment and rent and bus money for work. And I just remembered I have to renew my license. Argh.
Kendra came over a couple days ago and we ate chicken burgers and fries while watching “Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind”, starring Jim Carrey and Kate Winslet. The movie was a bit confusing, but you know what? I loved it! It was a really cool concept and I won’t ruin it for those who’d like to see it but haven’t. I’m glad I picked that DVD up!
Last night Krystal spent the night. She brought over “What A Girl Wants”, that Amanda Bynes and Colin Firth movie, and “Dirty Dancing: Havana Nights”. “What A Girl Wants” was a cute movie and I wouldn’t mind buying that one. Anyone up for Colin Firth dancing around while putting on leather pants? *raises hand* We haven’t watched “Havana Nights” yet; most likely will do that today. 🙂
Nancy came down today. Met her at the train station and then brought her home to meet Destiny, who surprizingly hardly barked at her at all. lol We pretty much just hung around the house for awhile until Keesje had to leave for work, so we went to the bus stop with her, then Nancy and I continued downtown. Had supper at Copper Penny…mmmmm! Then went to the theatre to see “The Wedding Date”. I found the movie very cute, although some characters weren’t fleshed out that well. But I’d definitely watch it again. Now we’re home and Kees and Nance are watching wrestling. Snore. lol Plans for tomorrow are shopping, yay!
Oh! Nancy brought me an autographed picture of Dayna Manning, which totally rules and now I need to find a frame for it so I can hang it on my wall!
